Abrupt materializes the primordial conflict between life and machine. Over the course of 50 minutes, spectators are invited to take a fresh look at the essence of life, the way we develop as humans, and the construction of the machine. These two confrontational worlds are often seen as antagonistic. This is, however, a fallacy. Abrupt sets the stage for the metaphorical enactment of the larger system that governs life. This system, of course, was used in the construction of the machine. It is on this threshold between what is the organic essence of life and what is considered artificial that this piece finally materializes itself. This video teaser was directed for promotional porposes and display of the piece as whole in the different theatres and art installations.
