Light Desing José J. Dinis

Live Performance DJ Lynce

Besides the development of the light design for the Mucho Flow, this project was specially developed regarding the 10-year edition celebration of the Mucho Flow Festival, with his resident DJ, playing his first live, as the closing act of this 3-day event that happens in the city of Guimarães. Many artists have touched the stage of this independent festival, such: as Evian Christ, Aisha Devi, Amensia Scanner, Loraine James, Space Afrika, Blackhaine, Schwefelgelb, Croatian Amor, Giant Swan, Lorenzo Senni, and many others.
In this edition, this special live performance was meant to present an audiovisual experience and an up-lifting celebration through an old-school concept approach - perceiving traces of acid electro, fast-paced breakbeats, compiled with a visual mix of obsolete incandescent luminaries and lasers, showing us an intense visual game of shadows and reflections. In a society that is divided, split, and disoriented, this rave scenery was a concept based on the reflections in which this society shows us, fragmented and broken, converging in a celebration of light and dance - taking the audience to a cosmic or celestial journey through this intense audiovisual experiment.

“Porto-based DJ Lynce, a.k.a. Pedro Santos, has been a part of Mucho Flow from the very beginning, a partnership that underscores the festival’s unwavering commitment to supporting the local electronic music scene. DJ Lynce had the honour of closing out this year’s event, and his high voltage performance at Teatro São Mamede in the early hours of Sunday morning felt like one for the ages. He delivered a special live set for the occasion, a fast-paced foray through squiggly acid electro, illuminated by golden strobing lights and packed with old-school rave attitude. It was euphoric, infectious and hugely fun – a fittingly memorable finale for Mucho Flow’s unforgettable 10th edition.” by Claire Francis, Crack Magazine, November 2023.
